How to make God Dwells in your presence
Text: Psalm 74:2
“Remember Your congregation, which You have purchased of old, The tribe of Your inheritance, which you have redeemed-This Mount Zion where You have dwelt.”
Isaiah 24:23
Then the moon will be disgraced. And the sun ashamed; for the LORD of hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem. And before His elders, gloriously.”
Mount Zion represents the Kingdom of God, the new Jerusalem, the city of the living God built without hands in heaven.
Hebrews 12:22-24: we have come to Mount Zion, the city of the living God.
1Peter2:6- Behold I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious, And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”
Whenever God dwells among a group of people, they do not need a head anymore because God is already their head. Even though people might have fathers, leaders, teachers, or prophets, God is their all in all. Jesus Christ said: call no one your father on earth because God is our birth father. He was trying to take our heart and mindset away from the physical to the spiritual; because God is a Spirit, and those that will worship him must worship Him in spirit and truth.
God dwelling among His people is not in the physical but in the spiritual. According to the bible, no man has seen God, ex.
Except for the Lord Jesus Christ. He, therefore, needs to abide in men to manifest Himself to us. Who will stand in the gap? Who will be the mediator between God and us? God wants to bless His people, but through who will He bless them?
It’s high time we stopped the prayer of the pool of Bethesda. We all know a collection does not flow, but a river does. The blessing of the pool of Bethesda is, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred …” Meaning, I have no man to help me. John 5. Jesus told him, you can help yourself and be of help to others.
We need to understand that we have the living water in us. The rivers of living water. John 7: 38. Not one river but many rivers.
Our prayers should be more than, “God, send the person that will help my destiny to me.”
Our prayers should be, GOD, MAKE ME A DESTINY HELPER.
Our prayers should be more than, “Godsend, someone to give me this or that. It should be; GOD makes me a channel of blessing to others.
The bible says: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
What are you willing to give God?
He that spared not His only begotten Son, but spared Him to us. How shall he not freely give us all things?
God is looking for laborers in His vineyard. He is looking for a channel of blessings.
We ought to be blessings to others because we are Abraham’s seeds. Gen 22:18 says, In Abraham’s seed shall all the nations be blessed.”
